Delhi sessions court slaps ₹25,000 fine on shopkeeper for using plastic bags and flouting Delhi govt’s notification on prohibiting their use.
“It is not that the respondent (shopkeeper) was using the plastic bag on the day of the raid only (he) would have been using the same ever since after the issuance of notification by the government banning the use of same. Of the said amount, the court asked the shop owner to pay ₹10,000 to Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and ₹5,000 to Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dwarka courts.
